Duplex lead worms have different leads and lead angles within the length of the worms' threads. After the mesh is set, users can easily obtain any desired backlash by shifting the worm in the axial direction. These highly wear-resistant worms are available both in bore type and shaft type designs.
(Ground worms and worm gears)
KHK's high grade worms and worm gears are especially designed
to be used in high efficiency and high reduction ratio situations. Teeth
surfaces of the worms are ground after induction hardening. These products
are offered in module 0.5 to 6 and reduction ratios of 1/10 to 1/60.
(Worms and worm gears)
Standard worm gear sets come in module 0.8 to 6 and gear ratios
of 1/10 to 1/120. KHK supplies right-hand as well as left-hand thread sets.
